Historically, Europeans have been known to colonize and take over the natives (Africa, America and Australia). Were there natives in Europe who were colonized by who we think of today as Europeans?

While living, Muhammad chose Ali as his successor. But some of his followers met while Ali was at his funeral and decided that Abu Bakr would be their leader. Not only that, but their threats against Ali caused his wife (Muhammad's daughter) to miscarry and die. Why isn't all this widely condemned?
